Use the thresholds slider to change your alert thresholds
Your alert thresholds are automatically set by BSCUIT during your account onboarding and will be adjusted automatically every time you add or remove a dog from your account or edit any of your dog's settings. However, you can still adjust your alert thresholds manually by dragging the thresholds sliders on the Dogs page. To adjust any of your thresholds, simply grab the alert slider for the alert threshold that you want to change and drag to its new location. As soon as you move one of the thresholds slider, the "Undo" button and the "Save Changes" buttons will appear below the thresholds slider.
For the safety of your dogs, and to make sure that our system works properly, there are a few rules that you need to follow when manually setting your alert thresholds.
- You can't have two thresholds be set at the same level.
- You can't have two thresholds be set within less than five degrees of each other.
- You can't set your outer thresholds (the hottest or coldest ones) more than 3 degrees outside (hotter for the hottest threshold, colder for the coldest one) of their default position.
- Regardless of where your outer thresholds are, you can't set your highest temperature above 90ºF or your coldest threshold below 13ºF.
You can hit the "undo" button at any time to remove your changes and restore your thresholds to the default. Hitting the undo button will also hide the "save changes" button, since there are no longer any changes to save. If your thresholds have been set in adherence to the rules listed above, then you can hit the "save changes" button to save your new thresholds. If you try to set your thresholds in a way that doesn't work with the rules listed above, then a window will show up letting you know that you can't save your new thresholds in their current form.
